Thermal engineering calculation of walls, ceilings, roofs and floors.

Thermal engineering calculation is performed to achieve standard values according to DBN В.2.6-31:2006 for Ukraine ISO 13370:2007 for EU. This is a very important moment at the beginning of any construction - a multi-storey residential building, an office building or your own house. Many build in the old fashioned way "brick - air gap - brick" and do not think about the cost of heating the house, because if you insulate the house well, you will pay less for heating. Of course, you need to first invest a "tidy" amount in the insulation of the house, but this is better than putting money on a deposit in the bank, taking into account the annual inflation of 20%. Moreover, the insulation of the house can be divided into queues, except for the insulation of the floor, which must be insulated before pouring concrete. Let's consider an example of building a house measuring 10 by 11 meters and 6 meters high. Standard insulation, based on the practice of building private cottages in Ukraine:

  • walls - 240 mm brick (rough masonry), air gap - 100 mm, facade brick - 120 mm;
  • Roof or ceiling of the upper floor 200-300 mm - constructive, 100 mm of insulation;
  • Floor - 300 mm concrete, expanded clay - 20 mm, insulation - 30 mm;
  • Windows - 1 chamber with air.

Let's warm up the house according to the requirements of DBN В.2.6-31:2006. So, after choosing a heater and strictly adhering to the requirements of DBN, we get: insulation for walls - 160 mm, for the upper floor or roof - 290 mm, floor - 175 mm.
